Nick and I were covering the Maple Mille a few years ago for different outlets.

We were in his Plymouth Scamp, but I had to find something a bit more upscale for Petrolicious. Victor’s Porsche 914 2.0-litre was perfect. We connected over a mutual love for the car, and he graciously offered me the keys to take it out the next morning, you know, for the story. 

Nick and I set off first thing to complete the shoot, in the 30 minutes or so between the sun rising…and the rally convoy leaving us in the dust.
