New wrapper, same same: no turbos, no hybrid, no all-wheel-drive…just add gas & go

Now officially launched (and made) in Europe, the 2022 Toyota Aygo X will be showing soon up on street corners, car Instagram, and undoubtedly eventually make its way into some sort of cringe Tik-Tok video.

From 10 feet away, this car may outwardly look like it has the latest forged carbon fibre materials for its bumpers and bodykit, but it’s just appliqué. It may have 18-inch wheels (really!) and a taller ride height, but that’s just to aid visibility in town.
