Soon joining the gasoline-powered Sportage lineup, the 2023 Kia Sportage PHEV bumps the midsize crossover up in capability, efficiency, technology…and price.
Adding a 13.8 kWh battery and 66.9 kW (89 horsepower) electric motor to Kia’s turbocharged 1.6-litre, 177 horsepower 4-cylinder engine should lead to strong all-around performance for its class. A 6-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive (AWD) are also standard.
Final fuel economy figures have not been announced.
