This is the “I probably don’t know you but I want to thank you” edition. First, a bit of the thinking behind recent refinements to speedster.news and (exciting!) information on all of that.

thank-yous…I’ll start from the top

1. YOU, aka everyone who signed up since I launched on January 24. I thought I had a good idea of where it was headed, but without pouring myself into the day-to-day running of a publication again, it was really tough to estimate and account for some basics. How to write about a vehicle launch? What’s a ‘speedster’ story and what’s not? What will reader feedback be? More on this in a second…

2. Craig Mod. I don’t know Craig, but I have read his essays in the past and recently stumbled upon his “Special Projects” membership program he created & runs from Japan. (fwiw it’s not car-related.) Writing about his process, what he’s learned, where the value lies for members, and his pitfalls have been incredibly helpful. Weirdly, our interests (Japan, walking, photography, books, …
