Video games, video games, video games—it’s always been about how video games would change the world of cars.

“Swingin' in the backyard, pull up in your fast car, whistlin' my name / Open up a beer and you say, ‘Get over here and play a video game’” are the opening lyrics on a song that propelled Lana Del Rey to the top of the charts.

She may have crooned it gold back in 2011, but video games have been weaving through everyday life for the better part of 40 years. They’re such an important part of my life that…honestly…I’m fully expecting to be driving virtually long after my real driver’s license is cancelled.
