MINI will take your classic Mini and convert it to electric as a turnkey service—in the UK.

Working behind the scenes since 2018, little did we know that MINI and staff at its 'Plant Oxford' had this restoration business up their sleeves for UK customers.

MINI will take your classic Mini and perform quite the feat of engineering—without making any irreversible modifications:

• replace the gasoline engine with a full electric drivetrain (see specifications)

• store the old gasoline engine just in case

• add new EV-specific instruments with drive (motor) temperature, gear indicator, range, and speed

• add a MINI Recharged-specific serial number
